My magical Day 1 at Cardigan

D1 B4 Green (D1 B4)

It was bright in early at 6:00am in the morning ready to go to Cardigan. I was so excited because this was going to be the first sleep away camp. The Cardigan field trip was only three days not long but still fun and surprises. When I woke up bright and early the first thing I saw was my bag already for the adventures that await. It was a slow strate getting out of bed. After a short but long trip down the stairs I poured myself a nice bowl of Life cereal.

It was time to leave and my parents were getting a little nervous about me leaving for the first time. After throwing in my 20 pound bag into my Jeep Comander me and my mom start to pull out of the driveway. When I look back I start to feel little butterflies starting up. I started of thinking about how I was going to miss my dog Zoe, my two younger sisters Ally and Avery, and then my parents mom and dad. We arrived at the high school and their are about ten kids already there and more cars pulling in. The car comes to a stop, I take a deep breath and open up the car door. Me mom gives me a kiss and a hug. I grab my bags out of the car and put them in the back of Mr. Whooler's trailer. I give my mom one last hug and then go into a group of my friends.

The bus arrives and suddenly the voices of people raises up. I am one of the first people to get on the bus. I chose to go in the back. I find a set and as people got on the bus got louder and louder. After everyone found a spot to sit the bus took off. About ten seconds after we left the school and Connor started to sing these crazy loud songs and everyone yelled at him a minute after because they were very annoying.

We arrive and everyone is full of crazy. When the bus comes to a stop everyone springs up and starts pushing into the alliel. After everyone got out of the bus we played a game called prey and predator were you got hit by a ball you become the predator. So the last one standing as a prey wins. It was fun and crazy at the same time with the yelling and laughing. After that we went and got to go to our room and met our bunk mates. I was with Bryce Charron, Peyton Marshall and Brendan Elrick. It was a good group of people and I was glad to share a room with them.

After a fun time meeting our room patterns we went to see what AMC instructor I got Toib. In Toib group there was me,Peyton,Ryan,Oliva,Calily,Shawn,Riley and Fiona. After we meet up and got to know Toob we started on out small hike. Our group went to Walton falls a fun and unique water fall. On our way to see the waterfall we stop and took schlechtes of leafs,tree and insects. We also saw water striders and cool water creature. We crossed a river and hoped on rocks like stepping stones. The river was going very slow when we crossed because New England was in a drought. When all of the group members made it across we talked about how the region of England was in a drought and how it was affecting us. For example people shared what was happening at home like how they could not water the garden or yard because their was not a lot of water in the pumps.

After we stop talking about the Region of New England and how we were in a drought why people from the city come to New Hampshire to get in the woods of the great white mountains we started up a high,long steep hill. When we got to the stop there was two routes that we could go down. We choose the Walten falls view trail that ran along a steep drop into a pool like area where the waterfall falls into. The trail was very narrow and there was a railing to stop people from falling down the step edge and into a small swimming area. Not far after the trailhead the trail lead us to the small swimming area where we had lunch and we got to see a small pot hole into the rocks. We took skeches of Walten falls and the small pot hole.

It was time to head back to the AMC lodge where we got to have an hour of free time and got to do any we wanted to do. We arrived about two hours later and my legs were a little sleepy. In my free time me and my room parents clean up our room and shorted everything by shoes bags and coats. Time flew when you and your friends were having fun and laughing. After our free time we talked about ort and hat it is. They want us to reduce the ort which is left on our plates after dinner. After talking we had dinner it was spaghetti and meatballs. The food was ok but I like my mom's food better. After dinner it was bed time. Our room stayed up a little after we were supposed to go to bed. After talking with me friends my eyes slowy closed and I went to bed.
